A path, a plateau and a view


There’s step and wrong step
the one outnumbered by the other
each disguised as the other;
there are no easy pathways
shortcuts there are none
assailable, yes,
with mind as delicate and discerning
as feet and resolve —
the view, they say
is ‘out of this world.’
