upon a wavering voice
powered by a resolute heart
in knowing eyes and expression
the power of the collective
and irreducible self
before ‘god’ and far away
in drop of sweat and dew
the terms of exchange
‘divinely’ slanted
a moment dangles
on lip-edge and eyelash –
that, without doubt,
is divine.
