House of God:
one of many,
the truly faithful must know
if omnipresence is accepted

House of History:
resident to intrigue and manipulation
benevolence and compassion
where devil and god have battled
wearing garb of priest and devotee

House of Man, Woman and Child:
wall, sculpture and mural
pulpit, pew and priest
architecture and ambience
urging penitence and reflection
amid malevolence and distraction

As it has been and will be
where faith is tested
and accountability measured
